What a find. I have never had a Godello wine before. Nose was different with honeysuckle and mineral soil fighting each other. Palette was balanced with perfect acidity. Lime peel and tropical flowers is the closest I could get on the taste. An unripe cantelope sneaks in. A distinct earthy, slightly salinic finish with the honeydew melon. Fantastic complex Spanish dry white. I would drink again — 10 years ago
Yellow pear, green apple, lots of wet rocks. Not as fragrant as I expected, so expect it's a little past its prime. Still in fighting form with ripping acidity, no sign of tiring, just lacking floral elements characteristic of the variety. — 10 years ago
Short but intense. Rounded and dusty dry at the same time. It seems like the Shiraz and Mataro are fighting each other. — 11 years ago
This is an utterly fantastic wine! Developing nose with coing aromas, white peaches and flowers. Fresh, clean, sharp attack on the palate with zesty, lively body, some tannins, but overly rich and structured. Easy to drink although this is a more of a food wine type. Long finish with salty elements, perhaps the "lees" fighting back the delicacy and savoury elements out there? I am well impressed and very well satisfied! — 11 years ago
Of the Jowler, this was my favorite red. Fairly sweet. — 12 years ago

Fighting components. Another % alcohol would make it stellar. — 10 years ago
And all of a sudden I found myself fighting with an aviation solicitor about opera seats and then I was like hey if you don't love yourself how in the hell are you going to love anybody else. Let's have another bottle. — 10 years ago
Really great example of this Italian variety from closer to home. Loved the depth of flavour here. Really accomplished wine making on show — 11 years ago

Bold and wants to be noticed. Cab Franc is fighting it out with the oak for honors of most prominent aroma. Stewed berries, bell pepper and Stagecoach dust. — 10 years ago
2014 Clean Slate riesling from the Mosel. Paired with a fairly dry halibut and a fairly awesome scallop/prosciutto/cauliflower puree dinner, this was a nice surprise. Peaches, orange oil, sandstone and wet rocks on the nose with the peaches and minerality fighting for dominance on the palate. It's a juicy, highly acidic riesling that for the price is a nice little wine. — 10 years ago
No predominant fruit. Balanced well without any sweet tastes. Medium finish, low tannin — 10 years ago
2004 Pegau. Always great. My favorite wine. Give me a vertical of Pegau on a desert island and I am happy. The family preferred the Cab so I enjoyed almost all of this delicious 04. Fighting with my waiter for the last pour in the bottle. Not the greatest vintage but so well balanced and intergrated flavors tonight. The seaweed/barnyard nose was just perfect with my steak at 910. — 11 years ago
