The newly-released 2004 Gloria Ferrer Carneros Cuvée is a lively blend of 53% Pinot Noir and 47% Chardonnay. I spent a full day touring the facility and estate vineyards and was impressed by the care and labor that goes in to crafting their sparkling wines. The 2004 displays ripe red fruit and pleasing biscuit notes held aloft in a creamy stream of bubbles. On the palate, it's fresh and vibrant, I'd love to revisit this after its had time to further develop. 12.5% ABV | Sample — 10 years ago

Hello Mendoza!!! Big, big Malbec based blend. I used to love Vallé Escondido Mélosa Red blend, but this one takes the cake. Earthy, dark blueberry with a tinge of smoky impression. I love it! $102 - 92pts. — 12 years ago
Pear and nutmeg. I don't drink Chardonnay at all, and I liked this. — 8 years ago
Från samma vingård som Veritas. Guiden beskrev den som "Summer in your mouth", men var inte med i provningen. Kan bara hålla med henne, superfräsch! — 9 years ago
Been on the look out for this Pinot ever since I tried it at thanksgiving last year. Beautiful, rich fruit notes with a really nice smokey flavor. Not sure the validity of this story but the person who brought the wine to dinner lives near this vineyard and told us the year this grape was harvested there was a fire in a nearby vineyard that you can still taste in the fruit. Delightful. One of my faves. — 9 years ago
I felt like I had tasted this before, but I knew I hadn't. I finally realized that it matched closely in taste to a Pinot based Gloria Ferrer sparkling wine I had a couple of months ago. Very good wine with or without the bubbles. — 10 years ago
Kay n I both liked it a lot. Had with husbands delight but also easy sipping. Good nose, full body — 10 years ago
First time tasting and really liked it. It is semi dry, refreshing and pleasant. We enjoyed it for lunch. I had fish tacos and it paired well. — 10 years ago
One of my favorite wines on the planet. An intoxicating perfume of complicity, followed by Ecstasy in your mouth, it melts on your tongue, then it's gone. I can say no more. It's a fantasy in itself — 11 years ago
Elegant wine Achaval Ferrer use to offer only high priced wine when I visited the winery in Mendoza in 2011. Now they do also more affordable wines in the 29 dollar range, Cab and Malbec. Worth a detour — 8 years ago
I think this is our ultimate GF bubbly! — 9 years ago
I attended a tasting that featured a Royal Cuvée vertical hosted by winemaker, Steven Urberg last week. It was fascinating to see the evolution of the style of this Sonoma Brut, but also to taste wines from vintages spanning more than 20 years. The 1987 is mature, slightly austere, and sports higher acidity than the rest. It's dark gold, with notes of walnut skins, caramel, dried apples and apricots, sultana, and wet dough. At this stage the mousse is ultra fine and waning, but still lovely. 12% ABV | Sample — 10 years ago
Probably the best Argentine Malbec I have ever had. Very balanced and refined. — 10 years ago
Excellent but I slightly prefer the '08 which I can no longer find. — 11 years ago
