Nice Shiraz! Very minerally, and spicy on the first touch. Hints of iron. Little thin on the finish. But the best wine so far in Cancun. — 8 years ago
I don't like Pinot Gris at all ... But I liked this one. — 9 years ago
Drank this with frozen strawberries and blueberries as a berry sangria with Jen at a campfire. It was delish on its own, and to die for with berries. Would DEFINITELY get this one again, and will be far less likely to share! — 9 years ago
Absolutely loved this wine!! Won it in a wine pull, very glad I did!! Will be ordering a case soon for sure. — 10 years ago

Aging well demonstrating plenty if fruit accented by Feench oak and fine tannins resulting in a long, slow complete finish. Digging this wine at one of my favorite dining spots in the eastern states , albeit about as far west as I could be ( The Market Place @ 20 Wall, in Asheville sitting in the French Garden; good friend and owner/chef, William)! Very groovy vibe, spot, tunage, & great menu!! — 11 years ago
Great wine enjoyed at the Eastern Shore 2013. — 12 years ago
A mysterious effervescence with bright cherry and red fruit notes finished with a hint of oak. Impressive delicious stuff coming out of this Virginia winery. — 8 years ago

2013 Far Eastern Loire Gamay, biologique and sans soufre. Wow! Really interesting, and shows the higher altitude at which this Gamay is grown. Nice mouth feel, almost spicy on the tongue with good acidity. All-around a really good wine. Thanks to Flatiron Wine for introducing me. — 10 years ago
Really good table wine! — 11 years ago

I'm assuming this is the Lamella. For me, this stood out among Dan's three wines. Exotic, with a good dose of spice. GW sums this up pretty well:
Hand-picked from the Stonegarden Vineyard (planted 1858) in the far south eastern hills of the Eden Valley. I’m not sure Eden Valley Shiraz gets much better than this. Black fruits, black pepper and exotic spice, sage and aromatic herbs, BBQ snags, floral top notes. Full bodied, incredible density and depth to the fruit, black fruits with a subtle mintiness, all that spice and mouth-perfume, then sheets of silky ultra-high pixel tannin, cool acidity, and superb length, with a cascade of nourishing tannin to farewell. Superb. — 8 years ago
