Magnifique vin blanc avec des arômes de miel et de brioche.
À déguster avec plaisir, le vin garde un très bel équilibre.
2003 peut faire peur, mais ici la fraîcheur est encore présente.
Un régal ! — 10 years ago
A lovely Swiss Merlot, rich, complex, elegant and fruity. Ticino is the capital of Swiss Merlot and the platinum is a gorgeous example of this local savoir faire. The grapes of Platinum are dried before being pressed to achieve maximum density and concentration. The wine is aged in barrel for about 20 month. It has a dark garnet red, nose perfumed with black and red berries, spices, licorice, herbs, a touch of bell peppers and plums, medium to full body, nice acidity, green tannins, long fruity finish, my score 89, drink to 2019 perhaps longer. — 10 years ago
Nice crispness and slight sweetness like a Viognier — 11 years ago
Mitch et moi on est d'accord. Quand c'est bon comme ça pourquoi faire vieillir. Équilibré, jeune, fruité. Une belle réussite. Il m'en reste plus :(. IP Syl-Vins — 12 years ago
Color : White
Wine estate : Louis Bovard
Designation : Saint-Saphorin
Name : Salix Chenin Blanc
Country : Switzerland
Vivino : 4.5/5
Note : The Salix from Bovard is beautiful! A light yellow silky robe and a nose of citrus fruits, pears and apples accompanied by a slight mineral touch. On the palate, Salix is gourmet, tasty, long and refreshes us. A taste as an aperitif, eating or even alone, it will always make you happy.

Top! — 8 years ago

Since attending Fete le Vin, bordeaux 2008, my appreciation for rose has changed. That year at the festival there were plenty of rose's represented. It was an embrace by the french of something that they seem to generally consider not good. Returning stateside, my quest for the perfect rose endes with this "celebrity" wine. — 10 years ago

The notes below are all from the Grand Fete de Saint-Jean in Faugeres (well, this year it was in Laurens, which was a bit of a shame as Faugères itself is a stunning place with a great atmosphere). My general impression was that this appellation is going from strength to strength - it will be interesting to see where it will be in 10 years’ time. The wines were all generally of a very high level (the best from the producers that attended are listed below); from the most traditional bottlings to the more modern efforts (though even the most modern is by no means an ‘international’ wine). I’ve been coming here for more than a decade and the wines were very good back then as well. However, now there is clearly more of a sense of pride in the terroir and finely tuned craftsmanship across the board. There are a few older producers that have always made stunning wines but joining their ranks recently are a bunch of young winemakers who have discovered the untapped potential of the region. Definitely an AOP to watch out for!
Slightly disappointed that they didn’t bring out the current vintage of Fossibus but can understand why, as the oak tends to dominate for a few years. This is in a better place right now; the oak is more integrated and, although I preferred the GR (below) for current drinking, this will probably be in a better place in 10-12 years’ time. — 7 years ago
Really well balanced and fun to pick apart. Also fun to drink. — 9 years ago
Delicious rosè. Strawberries and tart fruit. — 9 years ago
Interesting cuvee of feteasca neagra from 2012, 2013, and 2014. 3 fete negre. Also had the 2013, 2014, 2015 cuvee which is remarkable and pretty bold. — 10 years ago
Beguiling medium garnet hue, a hint of violet coming thru both in color and aroma upon swirling. Set your nose this task: seek out the rhubarb spread notion, the pomegranate seed explosion, the Christmas cake concoction. From there, have your palate investigate the suggestion of pink peppercorn, juicy red plum, dash of herbal savior faire and flirtation of holly. Want more? Take in the oak leaf in autumn, the micro-plane-d cherry Starburst, the peppy minerality. That all this delicious comes replete in a lean, generous-but-decent profile rife with energetic-freeze-dried-strawberry attitude and a POV calibrated to the always-a-good-idea South of France 👉🏻 means you'll be super happy sipping this on your porch come Saturday. And really, what more do we want?? — 10 years ago
