In 1961 Fabrizio Bianchi, a textile manufacturer from Milan, realized his dream and purchased Castello di Monsanto and, in so doing, realized a long-held dream. Bianchi undertook the complete restoration of the vineyards and winery. A top wine on 2016 lists, Ruby with berry fruit and floral spice scents. On the palate cherry with notes of tobacco and cacao. Rich full tannins, well balanced on lingering finish. Perfect to drink now. Tasting Sample. — 7 years ago
