Cloudy light raspberry colored. The nose is a little leezy with tones of smoked bacon, soy, baked bread, straw, and coffee. The palate shows more fruit with dark cherry & pomegranate, but also some savory characteristics of cured meat, smoked bacon and toast. Seems a tad closed right now - maybe decant to get some more fruit exposed in the nose or open in another year or two. — 11 years ago
Really nice bubbly from Anderson Valley. Very restrained initially, started showing some fruit after being exposed to air for a while. Light, refreshing, nuanced acidity. Made with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. — 12 years ago
Gosset is a fine champagne house that I have only recently got exposed to, I can regret what I missed or try to catch up :-) as you can see I went for the more pleasurable option. The excellence is indeed excellent, lovely light gold color, a fresh stream of small sexy bubbles, appealing nose full of lime, grapefruit, apple, yeasts and healthy dose of minerality, on the palate smooth and fresh, silky yet tingling, fresh finish. Beautiful golden color with substantial body. Honey and apples on the nose. On the palate more of the same but quite complex with a lingering finish that exposed something like sweet lemon and an earthy depth, yet pleasantly sweet. Delicious. — 12 years ago
8 year old fino. A touch of oxidation. Flor has digested more of the nutrients in the wine and while the floe is alive some spots are exposed to air — 13 years ago
Very clean taste. Only exposed to the skins and stalks long enough to impart the red color. Few tannins resulting in a soft taste on the mouth. — 11 years ago
