Gamay weight and texture with a dark cherry flavor and an herbal finish. Easy drinking and refreshing. — 7 years ago
Smooth, rich berries. Mild bitter, tartness on initial taste transitions to a velvety smooth dark cherry fruit that is lightly sweet with a lingering dryness. Pairs well with spicy food — 8 years ago
Grapefruit, citrus, floral nose, nice finish. Lovely Riesling. Sweet, but not cloying. — 9 years ago

Nice green apple. Zippy! Fuller body than a typical gruner but still easy drinking. Great with fish and Asian. But shin! — 10 years ago

Last bottle of the wonderful Ewald Pinot Noir. — 12 years ago
Pale brown. Caramel, fresh savory herbs, brine, oyster shell, powder sugar, raisin and fig. Asphalt and tar on the palate. Fortified, late harvest passerillage, no botrytis. Fermented on skins. 17.5% abv. — 6 years ago
The wine keeps evolving over a couple of hours. It gets cleaner with each tasting. The caramel color scared me at the outset, but it keeps improving — 7 years ago
Big, rich and bold. Lightly sweet up front and tart + spice on the back. A bit on the tart side of the spectrum for me. Tart fruits really pop! — 8 years ago
Delicious some fruit of plums and blackberries. Slightly dry and very well balanced. Paired very well with seared salmon. — 8 years ago

Weingut Werlitsch Freude 2015 biodynamic farming on steep hills in Styria. Sauv Blanc 50% and Chardonnay 50% grown on chalky marl, skin fermented for 2 weeks and aged on lees in large oak casks for 2 years. From Austria 13% ABV importer by winemonger — 7 years ago
This is the kind of thing you can only get inexpensively in Europe. Crispness belying it’s age. The vegetal notes from the Sauvignon balanced by the Chardonnay. I’d love to try it again in a decade. This was superb. — 7 years ago

What a great Temp! It really reminded me a strong West Texas Tempranillo. It paired well with Antelope blackstrap. — 6 years ago
