A knockout wine. The nose shows florals, tree bark, and dark fruit. The palate is all about balance. Unmistakably California with ripe fruit intertwined with anise and earth, layered beneath the firm structure. The finish is lush and long with a bit of dark chocolate. Correct pale straw/gold color with developing aromas of chamomile, lemon, and just a bit of fresh, uncooked fennel. Palate is bright and balanced with white stone fruit, Meyer lemon, nice medium + body, and a long finish that's really noticeable on the sides of the tongue. This is a really beautiful wine.
