Bannockburn Vineyard, Central Otago. Big barrel tannin and black cherry, moderate plus acidity. Fantastic wine, age worthy. — 9 years ago
Fresh, citrusy, light pear, clean. Perfect compliment to our Thanksgiving. Didn't overpower the food. — 9 years ago

Hope to find it again! — 5 years ago
light strawberry raspberry and cola and rose water. velvety tannins with mild acidity. — 5 years ago
Undeniably California fruit and style but balanced with a solid amount of tertiary aromas and flavors emerging behind a powerful red fruit and peppery bite — 7 years ago
Forgot we had this. What a find! Paired with beans and greens. Perfect. — 8 years ago
Boytle has held up well, considering subpar storage. Descent entry, good finish with a hint of cocoa and dusty tannins. — 8 years ago
Bright and breezy with good acidity and structure. Sweet on the palette with no sharp edges. Lots of cola and cinnamon. I consider this a step up from the Etude regular pinot. — 8 years ago

Excellent!!! — 11 years ago
V11. Very good. Rich purple, crystal staining juice. Rose, cedar and plum nose. Juicy black currant, and black berry fruit. Smooth, dry finish. Leather finish. Nicely balanced. — 5 years ago
A knockout wine. The nose shows florals, tree bark, and dark fruit. The palate is all about balance. Unmistakably California with ripe fruit intertwined with anise and earth, layered beneath the firm structure. The finish is lush and long with a bit of dark chocolate. I usually stick to my regulars, the Napa stalwarts, but this was a nice detour. — 5 years ago
Amazing nose. Lots of red fruit and perfume. Big like a Sonoma coast Pinot without being overly so. — 7 years ago
Tasting notes from the Fort Worth Food & Wine Festival...
The Pinot noir winner of the night in my opinion. Big bold flavors...very slight spice during the finish. Not the fastest moving legs which was intriguing for a Pinot. — 8 years ago
Full and fruity. A Pinot with loads of body. — 8 years ago
Very nice Merlot. Rich black fruits -- plum and blackberry -- with a firm tannic finish. Great structure and depth. — 9 years ago
Étude on a Friday...don't mind if I do. — 9 years ago

2006 vintage drinking in 2019- color is brownish / burnt umber mixed with burgundy (no pun) Earthy on the nose. Wet soil and mint. You must wait at least a half an hour to taste- On the tongue fresh fruit some red/dark cherries and ripened peaches. The finish is nice and long and tannins are very pleasant not overwhelmingly grippy. Really nice Pinot Noir. Wait! What?? This is is not a french pinot?!!! :P — 5 years ago
