Time for objective reporting. I hate smoky but I recognize balance and complexity as much as I recognize a lot of people (hello mezcal and scotch lovers!) are into smoky. This is smoked cherry pie. Had this lovely red at Etrusco in Corfu, Greece. Rated the best restaurant in all of Greece 2014. Smooth with some spice on the back end. Met chef Ettore Botrini-Michelin Star who couldn't be more gracious! Started w 4 mous bouch, homemade bread, Swordfish Carpaccio, tornadoes of beef with foi gras and truffles.
