This was one hell of a blind tasting. On blind luck I think, (no pun intended) I got the year and major region (NZ). The varietal had me beat as, for me, the intensity wasn't there, on the palate (like on a Rhone Valley Syrah). Fun one for sure and a favorite of mine from Syrah. — 9 years ago

2014 Vintage.Nose: Flint, struck match, gunsmoke and lime complimented by a complex leesy finish. Palette: Rich, full and weighty but still maintains structure and acidity, citrus, grapefruit, balanced finesse in terms of oak, subtle leesy lingering finish.
