Great value, casual red perfect for a relaxed night in. Definitely can "taste the organic". Clean flavours! — 11 years ago

Muy buen vino tomado en puerto Madero en buenos aires argentina — 13 years ago
Excellent full-bodied wine. Intensely flavored with soft, round tannins with layers of ripe dark fruit accented by hints of spice and chocolate. — 7 years ago
A solid, easy-drinking Malbec. I've enjoyed many a bottle of Gascon with and without food. Extra smooth. — 9 years ago
Great Malbec, always leaves you wanting more. — 9 years ago
Lots of fruit and a smooth, yet firm tannin finish. Like it a lot. — 10 years ago
Found my new favourite Malbec! Just a little sweet, bold and well balanced. Funny how the bottle tells you what you're supposed to taste too? — 10 years ago

Nice and mellow chardonay from Mendoza — 11 years ago
Best Argentinian Syrah I've ever tried so far. Other vintages -for example 2006- are also very good, but 2004 was just awesome. I strictly recommend it. Cheers!!! — 11 years ago

Comptoir gascon with delphine and vanessa — 12 years ago
Perfect with steak. Enjoyed with Lili, Abdel and Chris. Bought a bottle to take home. — 8 years ago
Drank over 3 weeks or so. My one critique is the saltiness can feel out of balance at times but still a multilayered source of delight — 8 years ago
Enjoyable with a mild tartness. — 9 years ago
Fresh and crisp but with the obvious fruit of a red. A nice Rosé. — 9 years ago
Pourrait très bien aller avec le foie gras. Sucré fruité mais pas licoreux — 10 years ago

The bodega where 1884 is located. — 10 years ago
Deep deep violet colour and pronounced aroma of black cherry black currant hint of vanilla and black pepper spice. Dry on the palate with chewey velvety tannin and vibrant acidity full bodied with medium plus alcohol. Matured spice and fruit lasts into its long finish. Drink now through 2020. Quite an impressive spicy blend that's surprisingly aromatic. — 11 years ago
Third wine pairing Paraje Arévalo (didn't take picture of an awesome Chardonnay for 2nd pairing) — 12 years ago
I bought this wine simply because it was from Ardeche and it brought back warm fuzzy memories of a cold rainy weekend. Cab Sauv, stout right out of the bottle. Tart cherries right away, almost effervescent. Dark fruits on the back, almost blackberry and plums. — 13 years ago

Oh damn. Well. The Gascon workaday bev Malbec is good but this is...deeper and has balance if not nuance. The art film that is arresting despite depth.
So. That.
The thing is I didn’t expect it to knock out the basic Gascon but damnnnn the ripe plus the ripe plus superb levels that are not...see/breathe/chemical through. Very pretty to look at and there’s more than meets the eye. — 7 years ago
