An elegant gold colour, highly aromatic and interesting on the nose with tropical and green fruits, perhaps a hint of lime. On the palate it is less pronounced than the nose but still pleasant with good acidity, tasted melon, lemon, gooseberry. Perhaps a stony suggestion. I drank without food but I could see this going very well with fish & light pasta dishes. — 11 years ago

A great mix of fatty yellow fruit (pineapple) and toasty new oak on nose (hazel), hinting full-body and richness, but instead delivering freshness, minerality and a much more elegant, lean palate.

Opened second yesterday after the La Sirena 2005 Syrah was a bit tough ( Sunny's parent's are visiting). Crowd please, velvety and smooth, great nose of dark fruits, lighter notes and less heavy undertones compared to the La Sirena. Finished tonight with pasta and truth be told, some Korean scallion kimchee ( not an obvious pairing) but Sunny said it was great! — 11 years ago
