A welcome familiar face from my bar in NYC that luckily Tim’s Wine in Orlando, Florida carries.
Mineral, mountainside zephyrs, glens of dewy grass, peach in the nose.
Welcome fine, subtle carbonation. Supple grass like a day spent on the great lawn in Central Park in better times.
Peaches and the citrus of a mandarin orange. Love the sweet, creamy mouthfeel.

Good cab flavor. Starts out with good smooth tannins but has a light finish. Still very good. — 7 years ago
This was cool. High acid, dry Muscat of Alexandria from Malaga, Spain. Vines planted between 1915 and 1946. Head trained vines on a mountainside vineyard on inclines up to 70°—some of the steepest in Europe. — 7 years ago
‘04 cab perfect example of what a little age will do for a quality cab — 8 years ago
Don't be fooled by the recent rush of French wines to grace my palette. Those who know me know that I like to keep a Toscana or a Brunello around for good measure. But then @Kyle Harvey put the hard sell on Etna wines so I gave it a shot. From this point on, I will forever be on the lookout for more. The volcanic terroir and sun soaked mountainside make for the perfect climate to produce an exceptional wine. Comprised of 80% Mascalese and 20% Cappucio, the wine is remarkably well structured with loads of nuance. Fruits abound and silky tannins make this #Etna a banger. — 9 years ago
Super duper effervescence. Light on fruit, long on rocks. Tasting like a mountainside after lemon rain. Smoother on day 2 with no loss of flavor intensity. — 6 years ago
Mountainside growing fruits of a nose
Dark and a bit dank - dark cherries, dark plum, Árbol Chile, charcoal, dense, deep, thoughtful.
Helluva wine, this is what I have come to expect in the Rhône of the Americas. Such a value for such a grand character.

Delicious meaty full body tempranillo. Flavors of dark and red fruit with gentle tannins and a hint of red raspberry for some tang. Delightful easy drinking wine with a nice complexity. — 6 years ago
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish /brick rim.
Light on the nose with blueberries, cherries, plums, oak, light vanilla, spices, espresso, cola, licorice, tobacco leaf, spices, graphite, vinaigrette and peppercorn.
Full bodied and smooth with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and fruity on the palate with blackberries, over ripen black cherries, sweet raspberries, tobacco, cedar, vanilla, leather, spices, earth, chocolates, vinaigrette, herbs and peppercorn.
Long finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This is a nicely aged Bordeaux blend from Napa Valley. Showing great complexity and a nice mouthfeel. Drinks like an aged Right Bank Bordeaux now.
This 14 year old has lost some of its fruits by now. I probably would have liked it better a few years ago.
Needs 2 hours to open up properly and show tannins and complexity.
Really strong black licorice come in after 2 hours of airtime.
Wine Enthusiasts 88 points. Robert Parker 95 points.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. Aged in French oak barrels.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

An excellent mountainside discovery in Lanusei, Sardinia. — 9 years ago
So damn good! Only 40 cases made. I highly recommend getting some if you can. Fans of small production, mountainside fruit will love this. — 9 years ago

One of my favorite Cabs I have ever had. Ages very well, but can be opened right away as well. Similar to Jordan, but more of a mountainside grape. — 6 years ago
This has all the markings of a mountainside red from volcanic soil, but it’s from the Lisbon seaside and has a subtle power that drives through your palette during a virus that has shut us down. — 6 years ago
From small Napa producer. Mostly Cab Sauv 50% and Merlot 36% with added Cab Franc & Petit Verdot, aged 22 months in 70% new French oak, deep Ruby, aromas of black fruits with floral spice notes. On the palate blackberry and blueberry fruit with good mouthfeel and balance with notes of cedar and vanilla, beginning to develop some leather and cacao character. Fine smooth tannins, medium+ finish. Tasting Sample. — 7 years ago
