Great dry Sauvignon for a hot equinox fall evening. — 8 years ago
A really great #Beer from a small new place in Eagle Rock. After a long walk in Echo Park this was a welcome refreshment. — 9 years ago

Pre celebration of our Powerball win tonight. I love all Orin Swift wines! Smells slightly like cat pee. Yikes! But the flavor is so interesting I can't describe it yet. Can't wait for Equinox! — 10 years ago
I agree on the pine Forrest here, drank like a full bodied IPA but very awesome beer and I don't say that about many!!!! — 10 years ago
Holy crap! ... IMHO amazing example of the old world profile. Reminds me of the top reds from the southern Dalmatian coast. Absolutely stellar drinking on the tip of the Spring Equinox. I'm rating this only 2 hours after popping. Guessing it will get better as the evening unfolds. — 10 years ago
Don't let the campiness of the label/tasting room fool you... Excellent mouthfeel and a taste of crisp melon. Great summertime wine for sipping or with a light salad. — 11 years ago
So....Orin Swift Pinot..... Those who pay a ton for this aren't even told where this comes from. "California" pinot at $50+. Definitely not bad. Red cherry liqueur. Youthful. A bit unidimensional. I'd like to see what another year or 2 does to this bottle but not expecting much beyond 9.0. — 7 years ago
I'm truly in love with Orin Swift. 2nd release of Slander. It's one of the heaviest, most interesting Pinots I've had. Raisin, mushroom and white pepper. Can't wait to taste the latest Equinox! — 9 years ago
Breakside Brewing/Fremont Brewing Back to the Future IPA. The similarly named beer put out by Fremont in May during Seattle Beer Week had Jarrylo & Equinox hops. This version released by Breakside for Portland Beer Week has Azacca & Ella hops. New, experimental hop varietals in each. Both really good and distinct hop notes, although prefer the Fremont release as less sweet. — 10 years ago
Exactly what a zin should be. Opens with graphite and spice with melancholy carrot and semi-weak cedar. Drink now through September equinox. — 10 years ago

Best Rhone style wine in the valley... Except perhaps for their Equinox. Pepper leather and beautiful dark fruit. Perfect balance. — 9 years ago
Nice economic red blend. Juicy; a little blackberry, a little spice. — 10 years ago

Decaying roses and cherry licorice over the slightest hint of smoldering earth. I'm loving this declassified Barolo from a small plot of young vines in the Lazzarito cru of Serralunga d'Alba. Perfect drinking near the spring equinox. — 7 years ago
