Out of all the inexpensive loire roses this year, this pinot noir is probably my favorite. It offers all of that loire funkiness, minerallity and drive but backs it up with ample cherry fruit flavors. Don't think too hard about it... Developed red with ochre pigment. Cherrystone, rosehippy and briary, some sous bois and earthy aromas. Linear, precise, not too much showy or expressive, reserved, with a good inner balance. A bit too narrow and shallow to be at a good burgundy level but good enough. — 9 years ago
