Light. Strawberry. Perfume aromatic was noticeable at first sniff! Yum. — 7 years ago
Iron, red berries, mulch. Vanilla. Grippy tannins. Dry, eminent, long finish. — 7 years ago
Remarkable rosé by virtue of its pale color, complex aromas of red berry fruit underscored by mineral, terroir-driven, notes. These impressions are confirmed on the palate where the wine is fresh, lithe, and balanced. The relatively low alcohol is a welcome relief, contributing to this wine's eminent drinkability. The best rosé I've enjoyed in quite awhile! — 8 years ago
Deep ruby, spices and blackberries, dry, soft tannins, juicy, well structured and full of flavour. An eminently drinkable young Cru Beaujolais from an eminent young producer. — 9 years ago
Unbelievably complex bouquet, rich and voluptuous, yet highly detailed and refined. Coppergold in colour, alcohol is beautifully wrapped in eminent fruit and luxurious nuances of evolution. Fantastic 97/100 — 10 years ago
Saw an ‘06 on a wine list and grabbed this 12 year-old beauty. Mike Grgich 1st gained international recognition at the celebrated "Paris Tasting" of '76 where a panel of eminent French judges were shocked they chose Mike’s '73 Montelena Chard as the finest white wine in the world! Elegant, rich berry fruit aromas, licorice notes. On the palate blackberry & cherry, bits of cacao and cinnamon, soft fine tannins. Lingering finish ending with soft oaky notes. Opened quickly and drank beautifully. — 6 years ago
It was a bit of a cheeky lark. We wanted to see if at this age, Pinot was so distinguishable from Cabernet and Merlot. No one in our eminent group pegged this as a Burgundy. That aside, the bottle was in brilliant shape, as was the wine. The aromatics were a little subdued (at that age, wouldn't you be?), but on the palate its tannic structure was remarkable, enough acidity to dance with the fruit, which while clearly receding, still had a juicy attractive vigor to it. Not a model of finesse perhaps, but a lovely confection of blackberry, smoky cherry and some intriguing earthiness on the alluringly balanced finale. And it has just transcended its years in so much of its marvelous appeal. — 8 years ago
2006 vintage. Wow. What a nose on this wine. Full concentration, eminent nose, very complex, peppery, spicy, mulberries, some menthol, dark chocolate, and a leathery, horse tan aroma. Some earthy aromas, but not rustic by any means. On the palate, wonderful texture - silky and smooth. Great acidity. Medium tannin - becomes chalky after 15 seconds. Good concentrated finish. Very, very good. NB: with air, there's a rose / violet floral aroma developing. More blackcurrant creme, with farmyard shit aroma in the background. Lovely! — 9 years ago
Aromas of citrus and pineapple juice. Fermented in a clay amphora on Skins with no Malolactic Fermentation. No oak. This wine making gives another level of freshness, intensity and minerality. An excellent wine from one of Australia’s pre-eminent wine makers, Steve Flamsteed. Winery says cellar up to 6 years - I cannot see my bottles lasting that long! — 6 years ago
A nice neutral French oak Chardonnay. Nice mellow, pear, hazelnut finish. — 7 years ago
A nice Cabernet - Merlot blend of eminent character & balance. Soft, smooth finish thanks to the Merlot. Blend had lesser amounts of Syrah & 6 other grapes so this is actually a Bordeaux. Blending adds complexity of flavor, including mixed berry jam, pepper & nuts.
JIM & LINDA REALLY ENJOYED THIS ONE! — 7 years ago
Incredible balance, very sweet with good acidity. Fruity, aromatics, complexity. First Spanish wine served at a Nobel Prize Dinner. Leader in the resurgence of Malaga as a pre-eminent winemaking region. — 9 years ago

the oddero 1998 'vigna rionda' showed as always very classic and with myriad flavors that i love so much about this eminent serralunga site. lavender, iron, blood (orange), blackberries, cured meat and eucalyptus mingle with vivid tannins and a notable intensity in the palate. what a great wine, once again! — 5 years ago
