Diferent Pinot Noir with a lot of fruit and good acidity — a month ago
History dates back to 1995 when on a lark, David Swift Phinney took a friend up on an offer & went to Florence, Italy to spend a semester “studying”. During that time, he was introduced to wine, how it was made, & got hooked. A Grenache, Syrah & Petite Sirah blend. Aromas of fresh ripe red fruits with floral & spice. On the palate flavors of cherry & raspberry with cacao & espresso notes on sweet savory soft tannins, well balanced, lingering finish ending with fruit & toasty oak. Nice! Still a good cab but not as good as previous vintages. A bit unfortunate, but this wine has gone full blown super market class. — 3 months ago
Dark ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, cassis, licorice, and plum. Plus body, plus tannins, plus acid. While strong, balanced, and elegant, it opens up with a soft, round palate. Exemplary Napa red. 68 Cab Sauv, 28 Merlot, 2 Cab Franc, 2 Petit Verdot. — 4 months ago

Showing dark ruby. Ton of structure. Overpowered by tannin on first open. Will revisit rating in a few hours. — a month ago

Fantastic and first time having this cuvee. Rich and mineral with killer acidity. Lovely. — 4 months ago
Wow. This was fantastic. It tasted like a 5 year old Cab Sauv, not a 2 year old pinot. Notes of dark berries and mocha with a smooth oak finish, very unusual for a pinot. — 9 months ago
Very rich dark berry flavor, sweeter that some cabs. — 9 years ago
Color - crimson red. Full bodied, ripe black berry with fine grained tannins. Paired with Picanha, Fraldinha Pork Chop and Ribeye Steak! At Fogo De Chao in Philly. — 2 months ago

I opened the 2021 Failla Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir.
On the nose there is cherry, strawberry, cranberry, truffles, violets and earth.
On the palate there is bing cherry, strawberry, cranberry, vanilla, cinnamon, spice and light earth.
This wine is medium bodied with a smooth velvety mouthfeel medium to medium + acidity and medium to medium + fine supple tannins that moves into a long red fruit spicy finish. Enjoy the weekend and stay safe and healthy. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 7 months ago

A lovely wine. Raspberries, black cherries, and plums. I slightly prefer the 2016, but this is still an excellent wine. — a month ago
