2012 Elementary Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Volume 1 — 11 years ago
Medium leaning towards full-bodied. Honeysuckle, honeysuckle, honeysuckle - so much so that I can envision myself, at 10 years old, tasting the nectar from honeysuckle blossoms that grew behind my elementary school. Honey, Asian Pear and subtle minerality on the finish. This Beerenauslese is unbelievably well-balanced with light acidity, the alcohol is hardly discernible. Beautifully executed, I imagine that 5-10 years from now this will be a gem! I paired it with baked Bosc Pear with blue Stilton and toasted walnuts drizzled in organic wildflower honey, which complemented it perfectly. — 10 years ago
Deep almost blackish red coloration. Wreaks of elementary school marks-a-lot, licorice, and forest floor. Weighty attack of blackberry compote, licorice, and cassis with medium finish of chewy tannins and bright acidity. Still has some weight and tannin to shed but will retain its freshness due to its great amount of acid. — 11 years ago
Huge wine, complex, a tiny bit hot, great finish. Great fuel for this week's elementary school science projects! — 12 years ago
Wonderful at kindergarten. Look forward to elementary school age. — 10 years ago
Fruit cup, like you had in your lunch sack in elementary school or from the cafeteria, lemon rind, as it warms: butterscotch, toasted almond, banana, all wrapped in stone. — 12 years ago

Old golden raisin. Apricots. Sappy juicy acids fade while drinking. Pregnant wife says: cigars, apricots, butter scotch. Graduated from catholic elementary school, went to my first dead show and started playing disc golf in 1990 — 10 years ago
