In our blind Chateauneuf tasting, which turned out to be all Pierre Usseglio, this was my number seven of eight and the groups' number five. — 8 years ago
2012 This seems to be at its best. Light well balance but short finish. — 8 years ago
Established by Kathy Joseph in Santa Rita Hills the 728 is a bright Ruby with aromas of dark berry fruits together with spicy and floral notes. On the palate blackberry and cherry flavors with pepper and cedar tones. Sharp acidity with firm gritty tannins carry this wine to a lingering finish ending with some earthy minerality. — 8 years ago
Australian Chardonnay doesn't get much better. At five years, when some are looking tired, this is fresh as a daisy. Citrus, white nectarine, barley sugar, grilled hazelnut with slatey minerality. Generous, yet focussed and precise. — 9 years ago
Hit the wine over the Easter dinner with the family or friends was delightful I'll have it again — 9 years ago

Great red. — 10 years ago
St. Innocent Winery was founded in May 1988 by Mark Vlossak, with eight investors. Ten tons of grapes were crushed the first fall, producing about 575 cases of wine. Deep red with berry fruit aromas, spice and floral notes. On the palate cherry and raspberry flavors, juicy with herb pepper notes. Fine tannins, nicely balanced with acidity on a lingering finish ending with fruit and earthy mineral. Nice value. — 8 years ago
Bright aromas of sour red cherries, rhubarb, earthy spice and some savorury/stalky herbal qualities. Both and weight both immaculate. Supple, fluid, intense and great length. Drinking well now with develop just stating to peek through the primary fruits. Still has time. — 9 years ago
Very nice. Supple tannins, excellent length and fruit. — 9 years ago
Nice earthy notes on the nose. Palate, minerals, light fruit and spice. Good wine. — 10 years ago
Great with Steak on a chilly night — 10 years ago
Beautiful tropical nose with clear hints of vanillin oak. This has serious presence on the pallet and the texture shows serious restraint that really pays off, it is so supple and perfectly delicate and fresh. Touch of granite minerality. WOW!
Seriously outstanding. — 10 years ago
Big and concentrated SB. Very Euro styled. Complex with pear, tomato leaf, mineral, and grapefruit pith notes. Atypical NZ — 11 years ago
I needed a monster to pair with the ultimate smoky BBQ. This Cab fit the bill. — 8 years ago

The fall months are extremely frantic at the North Pole. Not only is Santa getting ready for Christmas but it's also the time he harvests and makes his wine for next Christmas. This year he is especially excited because the grapes came from vineyards that Comet and Cupid particularly seemed to enjoy. All summer long The Eight Tiny Reindeer watch and wait for the grapes to grow to their optimum maturity. Santa knows that when his reindeer are smiling it's time to pick the grapes. It seems that happy reindeer make really good wine! — 8 years ago
Mr. Aylward, you've outdone yourself, keep up the fantastic work. — 9 years ago
Still plenty of life in this Aussie Shiraz. All of the typical power but surprisingly refined. Dark berries and hints of Rioja like vanilla and cigar box. Very happy I have 3 more bottles in the cellar — 9 years ago
Great wine! Will age well! — 10 years ago
Eighth anniversary ale by Surly. — 10 years ago
botanical garden: mint, basel, eucalyptus, lavender, cloves. Then some honey, caramel, a slight-to-me-great oxidation. Sounds of applause. — 10 years ago
Isaac Pirolo
You haven’t really lived until you’ve tasted Russell Bevan’s wine. His 2014 Ontogeny had me exclaiming “OH.... Daaaaayuuuum....” after my first sniff, and then again after each of the subsequent eight or ten sips with various and usually increasing changes in inflection. Blackberry compote drenched in crème de cassis accented with smoked brisket and white flowers. Tertiary notes of lavender, leather, a faint tinge of brett, and a little magic marker provide an exotic backdrop for a wine that exudes its own Napa style. — 7 years ago
