Birgit Eichinger is my Austrian wine crush. Cider, lemon merengue, wet rocks, and a hint of Chanel No. 5. No kidding! My wife put it on this morning and I just smelled her wrist. Flavors of Meyer lemons, quince, apple, and flan bolstered by pleasant acidity. This woman is a favorite in our house ! — 8 years ago
Fruktig med gula toner och lite petroleum. Beska och bra syra med balans. En höjdare till kräftor — 9 years ago
Mineral, acidic and petrol notes. Tipical Kamptal. Well done Mrs. Eichinger! — 9 years ago
Interesting Austrian. I like it. — 10 years ago
2013 - A creamy Pinot Gris from the Hasel Cru in Kamptal, Austria. Aged lightly in woods, it has body, elegance and a pleasant long finish. I bet it could age for so long time. I love it. — 11 years ago
Quite tropical. Passion fruit. Pineapple. But Also rock. Mineral. Great with some salmon poke. — 9 years ago
Pale yellow and M+ viscosity, this thing has some funk on it. Sweaty socks and some must, this wine also shows lots of green...apple, pear, lime, eucalyptus. Lemon pepper on the palate and M+ acidity gives this grüner a great backbone. Very fun wine for the price point, especially hailing from Kamptal. Try it with a goat cheese & arugula salad! — 10 years ago
Just the white for a zucchini peel salad and a cashew soup with cucumber corn relish... Delicious, fruity and round with a primary fragrance and penetrating flavor. — 10 years ago
Who needs a Gruner when you can have a Roter! Amazing with Sea Bass!! — 12 years ago
Brief notes cos I'm at dinner with my love.
This is tense and bright. Searing acidity which supports the bass sashimi. Finishes dry and palette cleansing. — 9 years ago

Lightly acidic. Grass and pear — 10 years ago
Elegant and round, greatly aged, light oxidation notes, spicy touch, rich nose - a great wine — 10 years ago
Very different. Lovers of Burgundian and Oregonian Pinot "funk" will enjoy this chewy, but, because it's Austrian, food friendly and lithe red. Great alone too. — 11 years ago
