So this restaurant bizarrely has 2 dry tokaj, an egri bikaver, and a sweet tokaj — a happy surprise and a nice wine. — 10 years ago

My favourite Bikavér. Needs a good hour to breathe before drinking. Still young tasting and will age well. — 10 years ago
'Bull's Blood' wine from the Eger region. Made with 50% Hungarian grapes and 50% Bordeaux blend grapes. Made in a more classic style than many bigger Bull's Blood wines one can find. — 10 years ago

Crisp yet toasty. Fantastic wine. — 10 years ago
2004, unfiltered edition. Many reserved aromas open up nicely as it gets more air. Porcini, forest floor... I wouldn't keep it for longer, but a very vivid, nice experience at the moment. — 10 years ago
Неплохое вино, хороший аромат, практически отсутсвует терпкость. Удивлен, что это Венгрия :) — 11 years ago
Hungary's take on Blaufrankisch, a little rose, tannins opening, acid on a balance, restrained dark fruit. Rounding out a brackish finish. — 11 years ago

Antonio Capurso
Interesting and unusual Hungarian wine
Nose: black fruit and a note of flowers (rose?), Some spices
Palate: great structure and complexity (full bodied), great acidity and tannic grip, full bodied yet still delicate
