2007 Ysios Rioja "seleccionado por museo Chillida Leku" - 100% Tempranillo made for special event honoring sculptor Eduardo Chillida. Since the sculpture is known for using earthy materials in his work, this wine is extremely EARTHY. Probably the most earthy wine I've ever had, this has a pleasant finish of mushrooms/truffles and dusty soil both on the nose and palate, balanced by slight dried cherries in the finish. This wine has an extreme funkiness to it and is really interesting but is definitely not for everyone (no one else in the family liked this) — 11 years ago
