2009v. Light gold color. On the nose: petrol, tart yellow apples, and a little lemon and tropical pineapple. That clean and juicy lemon comes through on the palette, too. Racy acidity, very dry, and a little salty on the finish. An intricate but delicate wine- best with simply prepared seafood or chicken, or with rich soft rind cheeses. Clear Ruby with fresh red fruit aromas. On the palate strawberry and raspberry flavors with leather and oak tones. Lingering finish ends a little spicy. Nice! — 7 years ago

An absolutely brilliant offering from Adam Tolmach at The Ojai Vineyard. Haven't had this one since 2006. Drinking beautifully, this wine has developed so well. I think years ago Adam was characterized as picking his fruit too late, but now he's at the forefront of picking the grapes early enough to still retain enough acidity to allow it to age. This wine has character and complexity to put "modern" wines to shame. Cheers to old-school wine making...and to The Ojai Vineyard! — 8 years ago

No sulfury scent in the nose on this one either, which is more fruit than mineral.
