Dark beauty. I'm partial to this wine because I love all things Edgar Allan Poe. Aromas of savory, rounded fruit. Super delicious berry velvety opulence and seductive through the finish. 9.8 when you consider the value and everything going for this 100% Syrah. — 11 years ago

Good Greek wine. Preferred over Hermes. — 13 years ago
Smells like resin and lemoncello. With a weird lotion element. Taste is also funky and citrus peely bitter. Has a bit of rainwater and unripe apples. A strange in a good way white wine. — 9 years ago

Geltin, at Café Primavera (E. Commercial Blvd., Fort Lauderdale), served us this fabulous 2013 Syrah/Viognier from Central Coast California (from Justin's cellar). Enjoyed dinner with Justin, Hermes and Astrid. — 10 years ago
Could smell this all day long. Hermes. Woods. Orange. Pine scents. — 11 years ago

High rustic fromage in its many layers on the nose. Bright yet beautifully mellow, redolent of Hermes leather and chocolate chaud. — 12 years ago

I don't know why every time I drink Medoc I think of Edgar Allen Poe's The Cask Of Amantillado but there it is..not a bad way to go; drunk and get walled up. Well in this case it would not be a bad bottle to be walled up with. Good notes of leather and blackberry with a long finish that doesn't disappear after 5 seconds on the palate (an unfortunate tendency of some other '10 Bordeaux that get hyped by the pros. Had this with a butterfly'd leg of lamb and rosemary potatoes and it was killer. — 9 years ago
With Conchita and Paul, Justin and Astrid and Hermes. This wine is delicious, but we're still waiting to taste the el Nido. — 10 years ago
lovely grenache, spicebox with a pretty hint of violet and Hermes silk finish. the restaurants wine list price of $95 is so fair!! had the cured fluke appy and the pan roasted chicken main and wine was yummy with both! — 11 years ago
This wine is like licking and biting an Hermes Birkin bag (not that I have done that). Licorice, vanilla, moist fresh clean prunes. An olfactory feast. Overpriced relative to the Gaudo al Tasso 2009, but superior to many some pricier Supertuscans. It's a feast, worthy of sinking your teeth into. But needs a rare fillet steak. — 11 years ago

I’d like to know what Edgar Alan Poe has to say about this bold and impressive wine. Smoky and peppery with a nice, dry finish. We are enjoying this while nibbling on dry cheese and putting together Thanksgiving dinner. — 9 years ago
