Deliciously fruity with a lot of vanilla/oak. Beautiful on its own. — 10 years ago
Very light and smooth. I would buy it again. — 11 years ago
2008. Dried cherry, black tea, dried mushroom and rose, prosciutto. Minerality is reminiscent of standing on a dry, dusty dirt road. Only criticism is that it falls off in the mid palate, but finishes with a nice gamey note. — 12 years ago

Not impressed when we tasted at the winery a few years ago but it tasted really good tonight! — 9 years ago
Purchased at Lower Falls for $40 (sale $50) Drank with Fromaggio meat and cheese. Rich and delicious wine. — 9 years ago
Fruity taste — 9 years ago
I'll echo the consensus - a lovely, elegant expression of Napa terroir in a Syrah. Vanilla notes give way to spiciness - fruit is at a balanced concentration with silky tannins. Vegetal tobacco notes from stems. Wish I bought more. John is an absolute rock star. 2012 vintage — 10 years ago

Tres Beautiful nose 👃👃👃
Caramel apple-banana brûlée top notes, pear and spice underneath, still-pert lemon zest and peach custard, too. Palate delivers that Cali-leonine body -ie big! - but with enough brisk acidity to keep things more than decent. Long, with flavors that echo the nose and all around beautiful balance. Drinking super well at moment, near its peak and rewarding this bit of bottle age with plenty of secondary characteristics. PLUS:: #winebling (yes, there are some tartrate crystals, folks - all just adding to the allure - game on!) — 11 years ago

Oh my! Star bright straw gold with green highlights. White flowers, orange rind on the nose. The palate is downright creamy(!) on entry immediately brightening mid-palate (medium acidity) and giving up orange rind, honeysuckle, and a bit of coriander with a honey like -- yes, honey like -- finish. My wine son and I enjoyed it with scallops and red snapper with a foie gras starter. It sang. So much variety falls under the Bordeaux Blanc Sec moniker. This might spoil me for a lot of what's left. — 8 years ago
Lovely nose of cherry, strawberry and a hint of rose petals. Well structured red and black fruit with a cola backbone on the palate. Moderate plus and consistent acid from start to long finish. This is a big but disciplined Pinot that falls somewhere between a California and Burgundy style. — 9 years ago
Very enjoyable, smooth dry red blend. — 9 years ago
Wow. So underrated. Very dry and filled with berry tones. Raspberry and dark cherry. Me likey a lot. — 9 years ago
My new favorite riesling. Dry enough to go well with sushi (and much better than any sake). — 10 years ago
A GORGEOUS white, will definitely buy this again! — 10 years ago
