Lovely Eben Sadie red. Savoury with smooth oak and tannin. I might guess Spain if tasting blind. — 12 years ago
Got eben better on Day 2. 2012 is outstanding in almost all German wine regiona... — 12 years ago
Just great! Salty like a fresh sea breeze, nutty and also fresh, despite 13,5 %. Very Long, complex eben though there is almost no fruit, but tons of minerality. — 8 years ago
Eben Sadie, King of South African Syrah, actually is a genius with every varietal he works with. From Syrah, Grenache, Chenin Blanc, and even this, 100% old vine Cinsault, raised in concrete and stainless steel, this wine is pure, vibrant, spicy and fresh with great depth in its pretty bouquet of wild strawberries, dark , stemmy fruit and minerals. A unique wine that can certainly age yet is absolutely delicious now. A fine, fine representation of single varietal Cinsault made by a great winemaker at the height of his craft. — 10 years ago
Syrah blend from South Africa's Swartland.
A wine for the Chateauneuf-du-Pape or Syrah fan who has everying. Go on. Give 'em this Syrah, Cinsault, and Tinta Barocca blend South Africa's Swartland region.
Sequillo is a Latin word meaning "an arid dry place of great purity." That pretty much sums up what's going on here. Syrah, Cinsault and Tinta Barocca grown in granite, gravel, slate and clay. Winemaker Eben Sadie makes sure you get all of it. The pulvarized minerals, smashed blue and purple flowers, forgotten spices burned deep in your memory. All with a streak of acidity cutting through a clear South African night sky like a rogue satelite. The wine is all muscle but doesent collapse under its own weight. Not top heavy. Perfectly balanced. It's the best wine from South Africa I've ever stuck my nose into.
I found it for $20/bottle. Could easily sell for $50. You can drink it now, you can lay it down, do whatever. Just cook up a big protein and do not miss this. — 10 years ago

Sadie has come to play! — 9 years ago
Fresh Tempranillo from Rioja made by Bryan MacRobert, a young South African guy who has worked with the Sadie family. Restrained, mineral, fresh and with an interesting Atlantic profile. Great first effort. A name to follow in Rioja — 10 years ago
Super sexy priorat but still fresh on the palate. Eben Sadie this was his first vintage — 10 years ago

Dry, lactic, super funk! Thank you, Eben. You know what we love. — 11 years ago

Still waiting for spring to come, need some sunshine so I opened some South African love - Sequillo 8 from Eben Sadie in Coastal Region, Swartland - 41 barrels produced - harmony of Chenin Blanc 60%, Grenache Blanc 20%, Viognier 10%, Roussanne 10% - I definitely have to take a trip there #winelover — 12 years ago
Sterling cabin in AK! 1st night after sadie cove. Label says: vanilla, toast, hazelnut flavors combine with juicy apple, pear, and melon. I actually liked it a lot- just make sure to drink it out of a wide glass! Very warm yet with some acidity. Probably steel barrel? But hard to tell. — 12 years ago

A baby with big potential ! David Sadie worked in Rhône for Cuilleron and loves Grenache - this is clearly reflected in this wine. — 8 years ago
