I️ bought this wine upon release when this was a “big” buy for me. Part of the fun of collecting wine is seeing how they develop over time. This bottle is great. 50% Sangiovese 45% merlot and 5% Cabernet. The merlot and Sangiovese really compliment with good dark fruit a hint of oak and pure joy. Too bad it’s a Sunday night. Too bad I️ only have one bottle left. Have to say I️ built my Italian wine collection reading Galloni back in the day and trusting in his taste - it has worked out well so far. — 8 years ago

The tangy blueberries are wonderfully blended with the grapes giving this wine a wonderfully fruity and full bodied flavor.
The color is a lovely pinkish red that has a hint of the purple/red blueberries are known for.
Though the wine is sweeter, I would say it's closer to a medium body and pairs well with steak.
Chilled seems to bring out fuller blueberry flavors. — 9 years ago
This bottle really exceeded my expectations. Just a beautiful nose of sandalwood, Asian spices, dried cherries, and a bit of dark chocolate. Lovely tart cherry and potpourri on the palate, perhaps just a bit lacking in the mid-palate. The tannins really show up on the finish. Paired beautifully with pasta in a truffle cream sauce. — 7 years ago
