Earth, black pepper, dark fruit, game, minerals, still very youthful, refreshing acidity, petit sirah/Durif is such a great variety, and it is so hard to find good examples of it, people go the zin route and miss its charm and complexity, I'd love some recommendations on modern petit sirah made in a classic balanced style — 11 years ago

Also @Hardy Wallace 's Petit Sirah is also fantastic, especially the first vintage (good luck finding that). He might be known for his Mourvèdre but he told me that first vintage of Petit Sirah is his favorite of his wines.

What a lovely wine. Congrats @Hammell. It is understated yet seductive. Blueberries and graphite with subtle notes of lavender and baking spices. Long finish. Wish I had more than one of these! — 10 years ago
