Really enjoy the Cab! Really pretty wine, very easy to drink, bright fruit, mild tannins. — 8 years ago
50% Sangiovese, 50% Schioppettino. 100% Delicious — 9 years ago
Lush black fruit flavors accompanied by lavender spice in the bouquet. This one sneaks up on you with the 15% abv. A modern take on the pleasures of drinking wines from the Cotes due Rhone. — 10 years ago
Really enjoyed this- needed a gentle decant, due to quite a bit of sediment, but I was rewarded with dusty leather, sautéed mushrooms, rich earthiness, and a touch of bramble. As it opened, I got a bit more ripe plum, dried dark cherry and some cedar. The low alcohol (13.3%) and noticeable acid made this well integrated wine, a great food wine. I had it with sautéed shallots, green beans, and a filet in brandy peppercorn cream sauce. Very enjoyable! — 10 years ago
Bordeaux wine dinner; 6/18/15: Pichon Lalande 1990 - Lighter color than others, I think passing its prime. A little dry on the finish but perfectly nice still. Gruaud Larose 1989 - Very classic nose and palate of cedar and pine notes. Most silky palate of the bunch. Two at the table thought it was wine of the night. Not as much to my taste but very much classy Gruaud. Cos 1986 - Funky barnyard nose. Deep palate with still strong tannin, but plenty of fruit coming through. Liked it but there was some brett there that to me, hurt. Lynch Bages 1985 - For me, the wine of the night, largely due to the truly stunning nose. A tad dry on the palate but still long finish of dark fruit. — 11 years ago
Used my Vinturi aerator and it was very tasty... Blackberries with a moderate tannin finish. Pleasant Cab.

Bottled May 30, 2014. A little bit of added weight due to the aging. Really nice. — 10 years ago
This is the best Sauternes I've tasted. Complex, self-assured, and detailed nose of saffron (botrytis), orange peel, marzipan, candied grapefruit (thiols), slight yeasty baguette (lees), and ever-so-slight balsamic vinegar tingle (VA) that brightens the aromas. Dense but simultaneously light on its feet due to intense acidity. Slight tannic grip and a hint of creme brûlée bitterness (possibly from oak). The finish does not stop. — 11 years ago

This wine is a riper Albariño, with dominant flavors of melon and stone fruits. However, it still demonstrates lemony acidity and salty minerality. It's crisp, yet has a more substantial mouthfeel due to a small percentage of the wine being fermented in French barrels and aged on lees. It's the duality of warmer climate/citrus fruits and crispness/mouthfeel that make this wine interesting. ¡Feliz día de Albariño! (only $14-$18/bottle, widely distributed). — 11 years ago
Very good flavour. — 11 years ago
Our Christmas dinner wine. Love everything about this wine. Excellent tannins. Soft, structured. Maybe slightly young still. But a rare find. — 11 years ago

Still rather youthful! — 13 years ago
Full but not too much, enjoying with chicken — 8 years ago
By far the best US wine I have ever enjoyed. Maybe due to my passion for blend d reds.i feel blending reds in the Bordeaux fashion enriches the shortcomings of single vine products. Moderate body, multiple aromas from earth, slight oak, slight berry almost like a cross of left and right bank Bordeaux. If you find this wine and do not want to try me please notify me, I want it! :) — 9 years ago
Carmignano classico, sangiovese, i due cabernet e merlot. Grande morbidezza e equilibrio, tannini gustosi e facili da bere, bei terziari che spostano in alto la complessità. Il Carmignano spesso resta in disparte ma merita veramente tanto. — 11 years ago
Very rich tasting wine for summer - best enjoyed with some BBQ. Reminds me of Argentinian wines. Dark berry aroma. Cherry, dark berry taste with some oak finish. — 11 years ago

This wine is made from the grape of Beaujolais, Gamay, but grown on Michigan’s Old Mission Peninsula. It has a medium ruby hue and smells of the earth. Coffee and tea notes dance across dark fruit on the nose and palate. Acidity is quite fresh and the finish lasts a good while. Just another fine bottle from a state that really needs to get more recognition for its wines. — 7 years ago
