Collection de l'An I Brut Blanc de Blancs Champagne Chardonnay

DOYARD - purchased direct from the winery - 1995 vintage disgorged 2007 - 12 years in bottle. Good pop of the bottle. Golden, amber hue. Nose is super complex, butterscotch, herbs (dill, anise), and and huge salinity, with some mandarin orange. Absolutely smacking. Palette is huge. Truly expansive body - acid so balanced. These Carmel and tangerine notes happen. The finish is long and tannic. This is a unicorn bottle. Excellent. — 6 years ago

Our first ten years Hoffman Dallwitz Syrah 2016

2016 Sami-Odi ‘Hoffmann Dallwitz’ Syrah. 8 hour decant. Massive nose. Explosive mid-palate. Phenomenally silky texture. Smooth tannins. Stop watch still running on the finish. Just beautiful! And much more open for business than I expected. @Fraser McKinley has it goin on! Label: ‘Our first ten years’ – Painted by Andrea McKinley 1980, Fraser McKinley 1984-1988, Tui McKinley 2014-2016, Mahé & Ribo McKinley 2017. — 8 years ago

@Sharon B not sure where you are located but post July when I hope this pandemic is over I’m hoping the West Coast Wannabe Wine Nerds can meet up. Happy to dig one up and you could try with us. Maybe @David L could do another road trip!

En Vieux Fombrés Côteaux Champenois Blanc Chardonnay 2015

As you would expect, tasted just like a still Champagne. Odd but in a good way given the reputation of the house. — 7 years ago

Cuvée La Libertine Doux Champagne Blend

Maybe not for the purists but this is stunning and I love it . It’s had 15+ years ageing and has old yeasty nose which is stunning. Not as sweet as you would think especially when paired with desert - almost dry feeling and certainly evident quality of the wine. Not much left on the open market so snap it up and try it while you can. — 7 years ago

Révolution Non Dosé Blanc de Blancs Champagne Grand Cru Chardonnay

(16.5/20) Ароматы груши конференции, базилика, мякоти лимона с нотами сдобного теста. Высокая кислотность и меловая текстура. Во вкусе провал. В целом, очень неплохо. — 8 years ago

Mahe & Ribo Syrah 2016

Revisiting the Mahé & Ribo Syrah in honor of Sami-Odi taking the number 4 slot of James Suckling's "Top Australian Wines Of 2016." It's now had an additional 8 weeks rest in my cellar since I last sampled it shortly after its arrival to our shores. Wow! Inky purple color with a brooding nose of dark fruits , anise and sweet spices. Super silky tannins which perfectly compliment the dark fruits. A luxurious mouth feel bordering on savory-ness. Full-bodied and vibrant with beautiful structure. Lingering finish. This is not your classic/typical "sweet" Australian Shiraz ( my guess is that Fraser harvests rather early), but the fruit purity and overall structure speaks for itself. Congrats Fraser! I look forward to a long relationship. — 9 years ago

@TheSkip I usually shoot for 3-4 hours on the decant. @Bill Bender You don't have to wait that long, however I know you have a lot of wine to choose from.
