Second red wine sampled at the Jean Edwards Cellars tasting room in downtown Napa. Deep and dark ruby red. Nose has some raspberries, dark cocoa, creme de cassis and some leather. Slight furriness with moderate acidity (6.5/10) and backed with good acidity. Dark cocoa, cassis and black cherries in the moderate plus body. Long finish with some earthy notes. Definitely a lot better on PNP. Drink till 2026. 90+. Blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec and 1% Petit Verdot. 21 months in 60% new French oak and 110 cases produced. — 9 years ago
