I have a soft spot in my heart (and my palate) for dornfelder. A grape that doesn’t get enough recognition. Light in body, like a Pinot, but has a peppery spiceness that makes it a great winter red. Blackberries are dominant, some other darker fruits. There is also good chocolate and coffee flavors that round it out well. — 9 years ago
