Cedarville Vineyard

Viognier 2021

Less honeyed than the 2020 from earlier tonight, but way more youthful with better acidity, mineral and nice lemon aromas and flavors, this should easily keep 2-3 years, longish finish, very nice!! — 13 days ago

Broc Cellars

Lone Pine Vineyard El Dorado Lagrein 2023

New grape for me, and new Broc for me. Love it! The nose is a bit green and underripe, but the fruit is amazing. Red currant, raspberry, black cherry, some strawberry, but damp and dark, then it turns dry. Great balance of fruitiness and dryness towards the end. Some tannins on the finish and subtly herbal, but not much. Pure dry fruit for quite a while. Comforting winter red. Lovely label. With pizza.

As with other Brocs, this doesn’t hold up so much on the second day. Drink fresh.

Eliza Barsotti Vineyard White Blend 2022

2022. The wine is now from the Fenaughty Ranch vineyard. Creamy apple upfront with nice acidity on the finish. Paired great with a local washed-rind cheese with apple and a burrata caprese salad. — a month ago

The Bear Red Wine 2022

2022. Vineyard: Fenaughty & Lightner
Varietal: Counoise, Cinsault, Mourvédre, Grenache, Terret Noir. Light body, but lots of flavor. No funk, minimal tannins and enough acidity to pair great with sausage pasta and bagna cauda garlic bread.
