One of the most intense PN tasted. So rich and full bodied. One person ask if it was a Syrah. Vivid raspberry and floral notes on the nose. Cinnamon, lavender and rose petals fill the mouth. This wine has a sense of place and elegance that was liked by all. — 8 years ago
Rich as foie gras, smooth as a baby's bottom, gorgeous fruit. Can you believe it is so beautiful so early? — 9 years ago
Enjoying the wine. Lighter than Donum both in taste and color. — 9 years ago
Plum, tea leaves, dark cherry, a hint of exotic spice. A few years bottle age has done this well. Very nice. — 9 years ago
Too much going on for notes tonight — 10 years ago
I really wanted to love this one more. It was excellent, but not quite as good as the regular single vineyard RRV offering. — 10 years ago
Whoa....not pinot like I've gotten used to....I enjoyed this wine but it was hot, hot and hot on the nose. If those are cherries they are black like Darth Vader and the size of grapefruits. Juicy, delicious midpalate, finished with a white pepperish spice...pinot on steroids. 14.7alc. Explains the partly cloudy morning after. From wnry. — 7 years ago
A little sweet delight! — 9 years ago
By far the lightest Pinot they make. A real treat. — 9 years ago
Nice Pinot. Classic Sonoma Pinot. Nice fruit, a bit light on the acidity, mellow tannins. — 10 years ago
Amazed by this Chardonnay from the okanagan valley. Tons of minerality and beautifully balanced oak. Soft lemon and apple. Reminds me of Donum or Hanzell. — 11 years ago
Mellow tannins but has long finish. 8 years old and holding up. Fruit isn't as present but the acid and tannins are holding it together. Decent value for it's price in Chile. This is number two bottle I've liked from this producer. — 7 years ago
Best wine we've had in many years. — 7 years ago
Bibiana came to Brasswood yesterday to talk about her wines and her storyline from Columbia to France to California. Showed her Donum Pinot and Russian river Chardonnay and Soberanes Syrah to the entire staff, barside. When asked about the obstacles to overcome in making fine wine here as opposed to there she answered, " there are no obstacles to making fine wine here in California. The obstacle is to do it , have access to the fruit and a means to make it. Otherwise , all preferences are for this place, California ." — 8 years ago
The hint of oak is nice. — 9 years ago
From magnum. 100% Wente selection. Stunning — 10 years ago
Solid as always. Ever since I started drinking Donum I just don't love this as much. Slight QPR penalty - perhaps I'm being too harsh. — 10 years ago
Impressive drinker made at Donum Estate. — 12 years ago
