Whoa....not pinot like I've gotten used to....I enjoyed this wine but it was hot, hot and hot on the nose. If those are cherries they are black like Darth Vader and the size of grapefruits. Bibiana came to Brasswood yesterday to talk about her wines and her storyline from Columbia to France to California. Showed her Donum Pinot and Russian river Chardonnay and Soberanes Syrah to the entire staff, barside. When asked about the obstacles to overcome in making fine wine here as opposed to there she answered, " there are no obstacles to making fine wine here in California. The obstacle is to do it , have access to the fruit and a means to make it. Otherwise , all preferences are for this place, California ." — 8 years ago
