A beautiful wine. Apparently rare to find this Clerico from Bussia, so it was a treat to taste it. Probably at its peak right now, the wine was displaying a plethora of tertiary notes. Lovely. — 9 years ago

2010 vintage. First thing I notice is the brown, red color. I think I get olive on the nose. Nicely balanced acidity and tannins. The wife thinks she noted dried cherry and licorice. Very interesting wine. — 9 years ago

A lovely dark tangy sour cherry nose. On the palate bursting with flavor still. Deep dark fruit with leather, rosemary and and dark burnished wood. Tannins pretty robust but sit well with steak. In great shape and really primal — 10 years ago

Very fruit for a Sfursat, with ripe dark berries and blackberry jam, a touch of kirsch and some leather & spices in the background. On the palate more Sfursat like, the spices and richness comes out yet his one has a juicy acidity that is singing! Impeccably balanced, layered, complex yet elegant and with polished tannins. In December I pledged to keep this a long time, but Joe had better ideas. This time, 3 hr decant paid off. Rich, smoky, tarry nose. Florals, too. Feminine, delicate but powerful, the former by light berry and cherry element, the latter by perfect, fine tannins and tar. Last of half case, this could've gone longer. Bottle variation curious...just edged the Clerico for me, though the Clerico was way better value. — 9 years ago
