Pretty aromatics with black and red berries. Same to taste with coffee and raw meat. Good acidity too but it all ends a bit abruptly. — 8 years ago
There's an earthy sweetness about this which is intriguing. I like it. — 9 years ago

Delicious Chardonnay with beautiful flavours, balanced wine with great length — 10 years ago
a rosé that benefits from heaps of time being opened. sakuranbo, chalk, freshly stropped whet stone on nose and a vibrant palate with savoury acidity and texturally pleasing tannins. good stuff. get some if you can. — 11 years ago
Biodynamic single-vineyard wine. Estate grown Shiraz with a touch of Viognier.
Its smokiness surrounds aromas of anise and cedary oak with blackberries. It's meaty with a hint of animality, cinnamon and bacon strip. — 11 years ago
A pretty amazing northern Victorian cool climate Shiraz that does not have the normal price tag. Giaconda creates an interesting well priced wine with great fruit, balance and structure. — 12 years ago
I brought this into a shop I managed about eight years ago...it was still there tonight. Concerns over vintage (and a drinking window label statement of 5-10 years), erratic storage practices since I left the shop, and an engorged and busted cork were well founded. Cork debris, a considerable amount of sediment filtered upon decanting, and a good hour-and-a-half of development, and I can say my fears have been assuaged. This is only slightly past peak, a pleasant surprise for a $36 Shiraz from the Aussie heyday. Showing lush boysenberry liqueur, thyme, licorice, and leather with a still lively acidity, velvety tannins, and a heat that, thankfully faded from damning to acceptable over time, this was just plain fun — 8 years ago

Cooked black fruits. Very good. Red meat? — 11 years ago
Truly, a Syrah not Shiraz from Australia. Pretty, restrained- not overly floral or jammy. Only outdone by Gary's Healesville Syrah- which is a feminine beast. — 12 years ago
