Stage 7 of #tourdefrance 2017 enters my favorite region of Burgundy. Never had this NSG before. Very light in color with mineral and strong cherry flavors. Overall light and pleasant. Probably a bit young to pick up secondary complexity. Great with pork chops. — 8 years ago

Black cherry, boysenberry, blood orange, sassafras, licorice, clove, allspice, tobacco. Dark fruit profile, serious acid and very grippy tannins. A bit hard and austere on the palate right now but has the stuffing to age a few years and round out some of the jagged edges. Tasted again April 12, 2015. Now we're talkin'! This is a beauty. Aromas of red cherry and smoke. Lots of Cherry with cranberry and slight earth on the palate. Good length. Paired very well with my turkey and all the fixings. Rating based on second tasting. — 11 years ago
