Is it weird that this wine reminded me of two very different wines??: COS Ramí and Sigalas Assyrtiko. The nose was apricots, dried orange peels and waxy honey that reminded me of the Ramí, but the killer acidity and tension took me to the Assyrtiko. Really, really cool wine. Nice to see something from a more daring Chilean producer. — 9 years ago
If you took all the best parts of Riesling and white burgundy and created a beautiful monster, this would be it. — 9 years ago
Wild Assyrtiko is right. Atypical. Expect more body, a longer finish and funky autolytics more commonly found in Burgundy. Just went to Santorini and visited Sigalas where they had something similar but priced much higher. — 10 years ago
Solid #assyrtiko, less salinity than Sigalas — 8 years ago

Best nyxteri this year, (for my palate of course) — 9 years ago
Delightful vinsanto from Santorini. Robust and well done. Dark color and strong caramel notes. Much more sweetness than acidity. — 9 years ago
An excellent Nychteri that puts the map another dimension of Santorini wine, gentle oxidative aging. — 10 years ago
Full bodied, pleasant, hint of sweetness since it's origin is from the most ripe grapes on the vine. — 8 years ago
Sweet taste and full of honey aromas! Great wine and so sweet like no other Santorini wines! — 8 years ago
One of the earthiest, dirtiest reds I have ever had! Very smooth, full bodied with a touch of funk - felt older than 2012. Karl found for us next to the Greek butcher — 9 years ago
Best wine we tasted while on Santorini — 11 years ago

Uncomparable to anything I've drank before. Very savory and saline. Almost like drinking sea water. Acidity is medium. Not much on the citrus side but there are some almond notes. Interesting. — 8 years ago
