Blind tasted. So confusing and delicious. Need More. Want more. — 7 years ago
A Chenin Blanc from the Chinon AOP, this wine has white flowers, peaches, melon and green apple aromas. The medium-high acidity is keen yet the palate rich, round and lasting. — 8 years ago
2002 vintage. All meunier in honor of Rene Collard the Marne Valley meunier master. Great acid structure, but with broadness from the grape, barrel development, and aging on the cork. This is labeled de Meric, but it's the same single-foeder production as later disgorgments labeled Ginsburg. — 8 years ago
How could this not be good? 2013 vintage. — 9 years ago
A little old. Showing birch chips and beechwood as the wood on the nose — 10 years ago
Flinty with rich acidity. Not fruity. Been sitting this for a while and it's come along well. — 11 years ago
Still light on its feet. Red berries. Medium weight. — 6 years ago
Fruity and fresh but with that cabernet franc velvety thing.
Will go well with pork chops — 7 years ago
Premier cru. Another Chardonnay for the dinner matching salmon. Hmmm, paring is not that as expected. — 7 years ago
good rouge to pull — 8 years ago
Great little bottle — 8 years ago
Dark red, auburn rim, heavy sediment. Cooked strawberry and black cherry, leather, earth, graphite, tea, VA. High acid, soft tannin. Slightly past peak. — 8 years ago
Not sure Cabernet Franc gets much better than this — 9 years ago
We were given this Chinon by our friend Igor and I thought it would be fun to try it tonight. This bottle is still quite young being a 2011 vintage but is already developing nicely. The color is a deep dark red, almost opaque. The nose has wonderful dark fruits and some vegetal notes such as green peppers. There is acidity to balance the high alcohol content so it doesn't come across as too powerful. The plums and dark berries combine with the earthy flavors quite well. The finish is medium. — 9 years ago
Beautiful bottle, very much alive, structure on the palate, subtlety on the nose. A gem. — 10 years ago
Aromas of Granny Smith apples, lemon tart, raw pastry dough, steel, and marlstone with hints of cardamom and vanilla. — 6 years ago
Sour cherry, mineral, leaves, just a hint of green pepper. Pretty standard Loire Cab Franc. Great value. — 7 years ago
Drinking perfectly right now. Some developed fruits balanced with nice acidity and a lovely long finish. Delicious! — 8 years ago

Lovely wine, spicy, a bit earthy with dark berries — 9 years ago
With my wife. The wine was pale lemon in colour and offered bouquet of flowers, citrus, peach, orange peel, almond, fresh sea breeze and mineral notes on the nose. On the palate the wine showed white flowers, stone fruit, peach, orange peel and almond, complicated by a salty mineral touch, paired with medium-level acidity, a great, buttery mouthfeel, and very good length. The medium- to full-bodied wine had good complexity and tasted concentrated yet fresh. A great Condrieu! 92 — 10 years ago
