First vintage of Ponsot Montrachet and first bottle opened in the U.S! Tasted on 2.1.13. Bottle with extra security 'Domaine Ponsot' imprint on bottom of the bottle, synthetic cork with name, tracking number and heat exposure tab. Serious about anti counterfeit! Wine had power, & soft honey glow. Hope to taste again in 20 more years but only 388 bottles made. — 13 years ago

A little bit of French rusticity plus a dash of ripe Pinot adds up to a great value $30 red Burgundy. — 13 years ago
Chardonnay. Clean, brilliant, cheese smell, silky, very persistent — 14 years ago

Still drinking Bourgone. This time at Radisson Spa with Etienne. Very nice but could do with another 5 or 6 years in the cellar. — 13 years ago

Killer tasting at Spectrum last week: Ponsot, 82 Certan de May, Philloponat, Joly, l'Ermite, but this stole the show. Great wine. — 12 years ago
