It appeared that I live more togheter with mine wife, than alone :). Here is the bottle nearly as old as we live togheter , could not get any '94 in Reykjavik. Smells like Jerez, from Rose color it become more like an apple juice with years, baked apples on palate, it tastes creamy - the freshnes somehow disapeard with years, leaving just heavy weight - or maybe it was heavy from the beginning - pardon mine noob skills in old champagne field. 59%PN (from GC and 1er C) & 41 Chard. Disgorged in feb 2003. — 11 years ago

Saline, lemon-lime, hint of flint (if you'll pardon the the rhyme), and a lovely savory quality. Elegant mouthfeel, plenty of acids, excellent balance, mostly juicy finish. — 11 years ago
Love the floral quality of Riff playing off the crisp minerality. Pardon the pun. A Pinot Grigio with personality. — 11 years ago
Pardon the form. Still trying to perfect. — 12 years ago

We have not drunk much Sauternes so it's hard to provide a relative evaluation, but the 2009 provides a very nice rich variety of flavours, and those who don't like their dessert wines too sweet will especially enjoy it. However, that being said, and pardon me if you feel the comparison is inappropriate, but our favorite desert wine is a good Canadian ice wine, and neither of feel the Sauternes provides the same level of enjoyment. It's well worth trying both to see which you prefer. — 11 years ago
