Sublime. Silky, elegant, with incredible purity and concentration of fruit. Raspberries, strawberries, dark cherries. A good percentage of whole cluster fermentation, which really magnifies the fruit with the semi-carbonic maceration. Oak was well integrated, with lively acid. Once the ripe tannins had softened after an hour's air, a hint of chocolate and a subtle coffee note came through in the long, long finish. — 9 years ago

Slight floral quality to the edgy sweetness and gorgeous black fruit. I suspect some co-fermentation here (Viognier). Lovely, lively, and lithe on the palate. Plenty of acids here, so this will pair with nearly any meats. Just to reiterate, this is not your typical Paso syrah (no offense), but an elegant rendition of the grape. — 9 years ago
