Great experience tasting the lineup of wines with new Chief Winemaker, Felipe Stahlschmidt, many gems to talk about but I'll focus on 2013 Magdalena (80% Malbec & 20% Cabernet Sauvignon) 100% French oak. Only 300 cases. This wine incorporates Paul Hobbs' (consultant for Pascual Toso) best 23 Oak Barrel selection of Malbec and is considered "his baby". Nuanced raspberry and blueberry fruit with smoky espresso and dark chocolate notes that are held together with dignified tannins w/ a prodigious finish :-) — 9 years ago

This is 100% Cabernet and is the first vintage all estate fruit, a blend of hedges estate vineyard and Magdalena. A good amount of roasted coffee fresh earth mineral notes a solid core of fruit intense earth and spice a very complex and long finish layered. Finish 50+. Most excellent+ — 11 years ago

Stranded outside Treviso due to a cancelled flight, we came upon an excellent restaurant with a great wine list. This Chardonnay was soft and buttery and went down incredibly smoothly. Reminiscent of my favorite Chardonnay, Sonoma's La Creama. — 11 years ago
