Sélection de Barriques Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2023

A casual pinot noir that smells, tastes and feels fresh. The fundamentals of medley of berries, dark cherries and Black Forest notes prevail at all times on the nose. It has a nice juicy entry on the palate, baked raspberry and the tarty cherry pie flavors are enticing.

Bright acidity and wet crush pebbles with a decent structure, still tannins stay in the soft-to-moderate range and it has a long oaky finish. Great price point. Cheers!

Shallow Seas Rose 2018

Unique blend of pinot noir, riesling, and chardonnay. Off dry style and well balanced. Great for beach drinking.
Tropical fruit, tangerine, raspberry, and watermelon. Very good but hard to find on east coast.

Willamette Valley Chardonnay 2020

Star bright pale yellow with green highlights. Inviting nose and medium palate of green apple, honeysuckle petal, and a hint of balsam on the finish and light vanilla overlay. Firm medium plus acidity from entry to finish makes for an excellent meal accompaniment in the style of Côte Chalonnais white, which makes sense as winemaker Laurent Montelieu is originally from Burgundy. Heck of a price for an actual Burgundian style, too. Enjoy with lemon-garlic Pacific salmon, roasted or fried chicken, scallops, or a wide range of “white wine” fare. Drink now through 2026. — 3 years ago
