Gamay forever!! SIGHT: burgundy red; light, clear. SMELL: slight farm floor, overripe plum flesh, nostalgia. TASTE: strawberry candy, slight tartness, pleasant tannins, light bodied — 3 years ago
Sans soufre. Racy but clean and polished, no volatility presenting. Bright floral aromatics, great acidity and freshness. — 6 years ago
Extremely drinkable... even without food. Am loving everything out of 2015... — 6 years ago

A glass to end the night (maybe). Anxious to let this sit. Light, mineral, getting some herbs. Great so far ! — 7 years ago

Father’s Day at Jane for mom bd. Jordon knows and likes this wine. More like a Burg in its complexity and balance and light footed profile. Yum. — 3 years ago
Great big violets, cherries and blueberries. Has the tension of a heavier spatburgunder. Tannins are fine grained and integrated. So many flowers, lots of perfume. Happy making juice here. Not simple, depth of flavor, good balance, enough tannins to have a long finish. Good stuff. — 4 years ago
Visual: opaco y algo turbio por los sedimentos. Color profundo.
Nariz: potente, blackberry (mora), cereza, madura. Composta, zetas, cuero, barnyard.
Boca: buen balance, taninos M ya refinados, acidez M, alcohol M+.
Me parece que ya debe tomarse puede estar pasando su pico.

Closed up. Maybe air would help, might be too cold. Still I enjoy what's there. — 8 years ago
Each bottle seems a bit different. Some are all peaches, some suffering reduction and tightness. But overall a delicious sip. — 8 years ago
Dusty patina (like walking through a Japanese temple) pomegranate and cranberry. Mixed white and black peppercorns. Uplifting acid (in a good way) that super complements food. TBL — 2 years ago
Very nice cru Beaujolais. Rich, deep ruby color, flavorful nose and nice on the palate. Pairs well with rich soups and hearty fare. 2018 vintage in December 2020 — 3 years ago
Tiny hint of reduction but beyond that it is super floral and with loads of cherry fruit. Iron, very mineral. Elemental stuff. Dusty and very very refined. Hit of licorice. Really alluring nose. Just stunning. These wines give nothing in their youth and then the blossom. Stunningly fresh and vibrant with still some tannic grip but wonderful balance and depth. Saps your palate and tales of over. This is truly on its way to being great. It’s long and saline and has floral echoes on the finish. Profound. But with age, 3-6 more years, this will be lights out. — 5 years ago

On opening, nose is reticent, but the flavors pop. Incredibly bright, deep cherry-berry fruit, with intense crushed stone dust minerality and mouthwatering acids. Tannins are there but super-fine and soft. Wow. Moulin-a-Vent is usually not one of my favorites Beaujo villages but this is crazy good. Will update as it takes on air to report on the the nose.
UPDATE: One hour later, nose showing up, with deep, zesty fruit and cracked stone. — 10 months ago
