Slightly more approachable than its ritzier cousin from Alto Moncayo. Cascades of cherry and raspberry. A touch of wintry spice emerges on the way to a crisp finish. Gold medal stuff. — 9 years ago
Cascades of fruit and spice assault the senses. Nicely tannic. But lacking acid. Somewhat jammy. Needs food! — 9 years ago
Wow! Zesty, got straight up dryed lemongrass with lemon juice, pith and a hard under ripe apricot and pith, and wild white flowers, that's pours acid all over your tongue that cascades with waves of minerality, the weight, the texture, the acid, so on point.
Sure to be a benchmark. — 11 years ago
Cascades of ripe raspberries, pomegranates, and strawberry jam in what seems like a seamless structure. A fruit lovers dream! — 6 years ago
Floral gardenia with light lemon bright fun nose. Semi sweetness kisses the palate with soft soft lemonade cascades. Great good paired with gourmet mac n cheese. — 8 years ago
Blend of grapefruit and peach on the nose. Mild acidity with hints of gooseberry. Perfect with Stilton and the sunset in the Cascades. — 9 years ago
In a fascinating place right now. Cascades of depth, flavor and persistent notes of cherry, leather, occasional truffle notes and melting tannins. Paired with incomparable lamb chops and grass fed rib eye cap at LA's finest Argentinian restaurant Carlito Gardel — 9 years ago
Pure nose of raspberry fruit and underbrush cascades out of the glass. In the mouth this is downright unctuous, almost monolithic in its raspberry compote flavors, but with an incredible purity and clarity. 2007. — 11 years ago
Tasty cherry notes. Cascades off the sides of me tongue — 11 years ago
A beautiful wine.
From the heart.
Hookah rose. Warm cascades of pleasure and memory. — 11 years ago
Extremely concentrated cascades of dark fruit. Extraordinary wine, it’s what every Napa Cab is trying to be! — 6 years ago
This was actually the hard to find Russian river Pahlmeyer, 2013 vintage, which my understanding they don’t make anymore. Almost Burgundian nose w/ hints of sandalwood and lots of boysenberry. The palate is intense as endless cascades of rich lush fruit hit you with a strong mid palate but not as racy as one would expect for a 14.5 alcohol by volume... Extraordinarily gooooood! — 7 years ago
Lovely wine this. Array of fruits with grapefruit, white peach and nectarine with some age lending to some tinned pineapple too. Behind this is some nougat, cashews, peony flowers and a touch of coconut. Medium bodied white with lovely restraint as it cascades beautifully through the gob. — 9 years ago
Surprisingly quick and light. Bright acid rises almost immediately, cascades and fades through varying notes as it oxidizes. Scarily easy to drink. Tannins become more prominent as the bottle progresses. If paired, something mild or slightly acidic. — 9 years ago
Superb. Some botrytis and development on a beautifully aromatic nose of marmalade, orange blossom, honey, citrus ripe stone fruits and a touch of spice. It all cascades upon a palate which has a weightless quality to it, the fine acidity just right. It's finish and extraordinary length that really makes it, though. Very good indeed. — 11 years ago
Washington blend. Complex and subtle sweetness. A reflective taste. Slows your breathing. Spring cabin the cascades. Listening to the rain. Reflective and content. For a world thick with smells. — 11 years ago

I probably sound like a broken record, but here’s another 2011 that shows beautifully. I’ve had quite a few different vintages of this wine and they certainly fall in to the rich, opulent, almost hedonistic type style. While this wine isn’t fully there (which isn’t a bad thing), I also don’t pick up much green/vegetal character to it that some 2011 wines possess. There is a ripeness that cascades all over this wine but it pulls back before going too far. Aromatically, it smells like a baked mixed berry pie, lots of baking spices like nutmeg, licorice, toasted rhubarb fig, tar and sweet pipe tobacco. Nicely integrated on the palate, though the ABV pokes out just a small amount. Waves of flavor on the palate showing red, blue and black fruits alongside graphite, charcoal, dark cocoa and espresso nicely wrapped in a silky and slightly dusty profile. This is likely at peak and will hang here for 2-3yrs before starting its decline. Very nice effort for the vintage. — 5 years ago
