No fruit. All FB. — 7 years ago
I had to carefully decant this, as it had a lot of that light, floaty sediment that starts zooming around if you even look at the bottle the wrong way. It’s got a light color, and loads of tangy cherry/ berry fruit, accented by a musky floral note and some stony minerality. In the mouth, it’s quite fluid and gulpable. Bone dry, but with nice pure fruit and lingering minerality. Deceptively complex. — 8 years ago

Very nice wine. Tasting very good just after opening, hopefully will open up more as the evening goes. — 10 years ago

Dancing in the glass, on the nose, on the palate. Then makes me want to dance. — 8 years ago
This is stunning. What poise and length. The length is ridiculous. Wild, feral, stony nose, gravy, darkness, woodland berries, elf-like creature's tiny droppings and so much more. Not for everyone but it is definitely for me. Palate is refined and powerful with serious structure and density and very vivid fruit. A big boy but so juicy. What length. Genius wine that has 20+ years in the tank. — 9 years ago
Bon petit beaujo, belles petites notes épicées, juste assez "animal" — 10 years ago
Medium bodied refined Chinon, only slightly green and accompanied by a whole cabinet of baking spices and some fresh berries and a mineral finish. Lithe and light for cab franc. Still a little tight on the palate, probably best to wait 5 years but showing well enough now, especially the beautiful aromatics. This is not lush cab franc but rather great to accompany more delicate dishes. — 10 years ago
Just delicious. Fresh with tons of strawberry. Silky with a sweet red fruit core. Beautiful wine. — 11 years ago

Classic Chinon here. Maybe a little green. Definitely some green olive notes present. Loved this wine. — 13 years ago

My, is this gorgeous. Reads very much like a Chinon on the nose and makes an excellent case for the variety in Stellenbosch. But as intellectually satisfying as it is, it’s a sheer pleasure to drink. — 7 years ago
