This is from the village of Saint Aubain - chassagne montrachet from a 2016 planted vineyard. Only 1971 bottles.
The wine is not overly complex but rather a fresh, racy, mineral driven easy drinking village level Burgundy. Expect this wine to evolve well and gain complexity when the vines will mature in the coming years. The balance is already there. Like it a lot 🚀🚀 — 3 years ago

This must have been a tight, tannic monster when it was young! Our landlord at the Gite gave this to us for our dinner- they could not be nicer. Cinnamon smelled a bit of decay here, but this big beast still went well with local steak and potatoes from the market in Beaune. — 9 years ago
