This must have been a tight, tannic monster when it was young! Our landlord at the Gite gave this to us for our dinner- they could not be nicer. Cinnamon smelled a bit of decay here, but this big beast still went well with local steak and potatoes from the market in Beaune. — 10 years ago

2013. Grace and elegance in a bottle. 12.5 percent alcohol. From Cobb fruit. Just beautiful. — 10 years ago

濃い黄金色。やや強すぎるアルコール感があるが、2019なのに凝縮した果実味 noa — 4 years ago
Beautiful acidity. Gets better and better. Nice job Katey! 13% — 10 years ago
Lovely with or without food - but better with Rhode Island style calamari and fennel refried cannellini beans (thanks Gord). Teenage wine, still good fruit. Cherry. 12.5 ABV. Thanks to Nebbiolo Maestro LaRue Manning. — 10 years ago
The vineyard is mere yards from Meursault, and this wine is just as good (or better) than a lot of Meursaults I've had. Perfect with Lobster and drawn butter. — 11 years ago
@delectable his is the bourgogne cote d'or les buees chardonnay.
This is from the village of Saint Aubain - chassagne montrachet from a 2016 planted vineyard. Only 1971 bottles.
The wine is not overly complex but rather a fresh, racy, mineral driven easy drinking village level Burgundy. Expect this wine to evolve well and gain complexity when the vines will mature in the coming years. The balance is already there. Like it a lot 🚀🚀 — 4 years ago
Pale lemon color. Medium(-) intensity aromas of citrus (lemon, tangerine) yeast and battonage (yeast, oat, cereal, bread dough) and cream. Very Champagne like. On the palate the wine is dry with medium acidity medium alcohol that warms your chest (13?) medium body and a medium(+) finish. Very good. #burgundy #whiteburgundy #chardonnay #france #1ercru — 6 years ago
Not the Chardonnay, but the gevrey-chambertin pinot noir. Tawny red, due to ageing, bitter cherries all over, but dry. 12,5 light. Nice Bourgogne, no manure smell. More ageing will not help. — 6 years ago
This was fantastic. Incredible aroma, lemon and very elegant oak notes, the flavor was amazing. Great levity, balance and acidity, continuous flavors, seemed to keep evolving and last forever. Pretty damn amazing. Thanks to Chris and Max! — 10 years ago
Domaine Larue comes through again! A bit bound up at first open but then shining red cherry and frisky acidity. — 10 years ago
