This is so classic burgundy. Not dark in color, very elegant perfumed Pinot. High value. Savigny when its best! — 11 years ago

Pushing the rich end of the Chenin spectrum with aromas of peaches, apricots, vanilla and coconut custard. The palate is mildly oaky with some sweetness. Chewy. Opulent.
But this also has the quality of hot stones and bitter almond on the finish. Promising but needs more time to develop and settle into its richness. Not a lot of freshness to carry it now. These bottlings seem to hit their stride after 3-4 years. — 5 years ago
My WOTN! A "complete" Barolo, kinda out of a school book, that had it all: noble tannins, freshness and a first evolution into maturity. Huge layers of red berries, dried flowers, pipe tobacco, cedar and a bit of menthol. A touch fresher and more intense in the aromatics and tannins than the 1999 Rupestris. — 7 years ago
2009 vintage. Pie Franco Michet On the nose, dark fruit, floral, bitumen and amazing! Wow. This is fuck off. Touch of aniseed. On the palate, high acidity and concentration, high tannins - chalky. Huge length. A knock out wine of great intensity and flavour. Drink now until 2030. — 10 years ago

Remarkably fruity for its age. It’s not the Nebbiolo of my dreams, but it was a very drinkable wine nonetheless. — 3 years ago
