Double blind tasting
Greenish nose. Tense. Develops with creamy notes, nutty, rich and mouth filling. Saline minerality. Already very drinkable now.
Very well crafted Chardonnay. We took wild guess if that was Piemonte.
BBM is effectively a lieu-dit of Batard-Montrachet. Lacks the breed of upper Grand Crus. Located at the bottom of the slope with a richer soils. — 6 years ago

@Ted Mandes @Steve Colanero @Christine Christine's WOTN. Such an elegant example of a superb old world wine. This was next to an Aubert PInot and the differences were amazing! Balance, harmony, integration, beautiful subtle notes vs. the Aubert Pinot. Christine stated that she preferred this to Aubert! Amazing bottle. I'm not sure how much evolution can be gained from further aging. I think it reached its max. Stunning! — 7 years ago

Ik denk m’n eerste Meursault….
Bevalt goed! Hier kan ik wel aan wennen 😂.
Zachte zuren, ziltig en zalvend. Bitters komen in de finale. Lichte boterzuren, granny smith, iets toast, fijne mineralen/grassig. Abrikoos, sterfruit. Prima, lekker, maar geen wauw.
Bij deze ene gaat het desondanks niet blijven.

Didn’t know they did this bottling or Chablis period. Score is more on potential as the components are there just too young at this point. — 6 years ago
Has evolved into a fantastic wine. Sweet Apple, almost cider like. Also lemon and some spice. Fantastic. — 7 years ago
One of my favorite whites. Thanks @Julia Cochran — 8 years ago
Well structured...orchard fruit and nutty weight carry through. Emma described it as 'ham-like, which I think is perfect. Roast peanut shells. A well-made balanced expression. I'll take a case. — 9 years ago
Good flavor. Not a strong minera taste. Thoroughly enjoyable! — 5 years ago
Light cherry red. Fat medium running tears. Cherry black currant first now, light almond or another savoury note there. Long finish long finish. Discernable whole cluster tannins tannins. Medium acid — 5 years ago
‘11 half bottle, beautiful age, balanced acidity, perfect for flounder and crab in cream. — 5 years ago
Beautiful bottle but I must admit I should have waited 5 more years. — 7 years ago
Good value. — 7 years ago
Typical Pinot Noir barnyard on the nose and much more delicate taste of raspberry and minerals than the initial smell would suggest. This should be left alone for a few years to develop — 8 years ago
